While some trailers try and sell you on the story, the new trailer for Screen Gems Priest is selling just one thing: action. From the moment the trailer starts, we watch as Paul Bettany and Cam Gigandet have to fight off some ugly looking vampires and they use some cool weaponry to try and survive. I got to see the full sequence in 3D at WonderCon and thought it looked really good even though it had been post converted. With this sequence being the main thing they’re selling in the new trailer, I am a bit nervous that this is the only big money shot in the movie. However, I really like the cast, and I’m hoping the movie has a few other kick ass action set pieces.

Crave Online Art Contest Launch for ‘Priest’
Crave Online has launched a fan-art contest for Priest. Min-Woo Hyung, the creator of the acclaimed graphic novel on which the movie is based, drew his interpretation of the Priest and Priestess from the movie. Now it’s the fans’ turn.
Fans are asked to upload their interpretation of the Priest or Priestess for the opportunity to win the autographed art from Min-Woo and a Sony Bloggie camera.
-Deadline for submissions is April 20th
-Up to 10 finalists will be posted to the site on April 26th for voting
-The submission with the most votes wins
-The contest is only open to residents of the US

‘Priest’ Launches In-Theater Mobile Marker Standees and Online Game!
Elizabeth with Sony Pictures e-mailed me this week to let me know that Screen Gems has launched a mobile marker on in-theater standees for Priest. Scan the marker with your mobile phone for a special message from Maggie Q and the opening sequence from Priest, animated by Genndy Tartakovsky, but first, you’ll need to download this app for your phone.
Screen Gems has also launched an online game that you can play in 2D or 3D, in which you can play at http://priestmoviegame.com.
